MyWatchLog respects your privacy. This app is designed to let you track, rate, and organize movies and shows while collecting the minimum amount of personal data required to provide the service.

Information We Collect

  • Basic account information provided by your authentication provider (Google or Apple), such as your name and email address.
  • A unique user identifier (UID) generated by Firebase Authentication.
  • Watch history, ratings, reviews, and any content you voluntarily save within the app.

How Your Data Is Used

  • To securely authenticate and identify your account.
  • To store and display your saved movies and activity.
  • To generate personalized summaries such as yearly viewing insights.
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the platform.

Authentication Providers

MyWatchLog uses Firebase Authentication with Google and Apple sign-in. When signing in with Apple, your name is only provided on the first authorization, and your email may be anonymized using Apple’s private relay service.

Data Storage & Security

All user data is stored securely using Firebase services. Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated account. MyWatchLog does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

Account Deletion

You may permanently delete your account at any time from the Account Settings page. Deleting your account removes your authentication record and associated watch history from our database.
